City of Brotherly Love Helps AWeber Mark the Launch of its New Mobile App, Curate
Giant Chalkboard Planted in Center City Philadelphia Asks: “How Do You Share Your Love?”
Chalfont, Pa. May 3, 2016 – Curate, the first ever mobile app that lets you handpick content from across the web that you love most and share it in a beautifully formatted email newsletter, is now available on iOS and Android. To help launch its new app, AWeber placed a giant chalkboard in the middle of Philadelphia, The City of Brotherly Love, to find out the different ways Philly shares its love.
“The reason we created Curate is so that our customers can easily share the things they love and are passionate about with their email newsletter subscribers,” says Andy Obusek, AWeber’s Mobile Team Lead. “What we found out as this gigantic chalkboard filled up with various words is this: the way we share our love is a result of our personal experiences and unique life stories, and each of us has the potential to impact this world in very real and very powerful ways.”
Video footage of people writing on the board and telling their stories reveals some of the remarkable ways people choose to express their love for others. “I was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer last summer,” said one woman who just so happened to use AWeber’s email marketing service to share what she’s passionate about. “I show love to people by teaching them how to fight cancer naturally. All the tumors, all seven tumors are completely gone. There’s so much hope and somebody just has to go out there and tell them.”
“We were deeply moved by this woman’s story of survival,” Obusek says. “The new app is perfect for her and anyone else who’s looking to share the things they’re excited about. By using content curation to share pieces of what they love, they’ll reinforce themselves as the go-to expert and thought leader on their given topic.”
The Curate app enables AWeber’s customers to:
- Curate their favorite online content related to their passions or their business, personalize it, and instantly send a beautifully designed email newsletter
- Become the go-to source that their email subscribers and customers trust and talk about by sending interesting news to their inbox they’ll actually want to read
- Eliminate the pressure it takes to produce newsletter content and the time it takes to format it
