Virginia-based Nonprofit, Namanyak, Wins Small Business, Big Impact Award

AWeber extends monetary awards to nine additional finalists to recognize the impact they are making in their communities

Chalfont, PA, February 28, 2019 — AWeber, the world’s leading email marketing and automation platform, today announced that Namanyak, a Virginia-based nonprofit, has been named winner of the Small Business, Big Impact Award.

As winner of the award, Namanyak will receive $20,000 from AWeber to help them make an even greater impact in the lives of the people they serve. Namanyak plans to use the prize money to build a medical clinic and water filtration system in a remote Masai village in Africa.

Additionally, AWeber announced that it has decided to extend monetary awards to nine additional finalists who ranked in the top 10 in the contest. These finalists and Namanyak will also receive free AWeber accounts for life, so they can reach more people and build stronger relationships with their communities.

“During the past four months, we have had the pleasure of learning about the thousands of small businesses and nonprofits who entered the Small Business, Big Impact Award. Their stories and missions are truly inspiring!” said Tom Kulzer, founder and CEO of AWeber. “We’re thrilled to recognize Rudy and his team at Namanyak, as well as nine other finalists, for the tremendous work they are doing in their communities.”

AWeber created the Small Business, Big Impact Award as a way to celebrate 20 years of supporting small businesses and nonprofits through its email marketing and automation platform, as well as to recognize the tremendous contribution these organizations make in their communities.

Nearly 1,600 small businesses and nonprofits throughout the United States entered for a chance to win the award. Finalists were selected based on the level of impact they have on their communities, the originality of the experiences they create, and how they plan to use the $20,000 prize.
