AWeber Names Industry Veteran Mohammed Ahmed New
Director of Deliverability
Chalfont, Pa. February 19, 2013 – AWeber, the global email marketing software company, is pleased to announce it has named Mohammed Ahmed as its Director of Deliverability. Ahmed brings more than ten years of industry experience to his new role and will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s industry-leading deliverability rate by educating customers on email best practices and monitoring and measuring the quality of AWeber’s email traffic.
Ahmed joins AWeber from enterprise email service provider Blue Hornet where he was Senior Manager of Deliverability. Previously, he held similar positions at GlobalWide Media and Adknowledge. He has an extensive background in identifying spam having begun his career at AOL where he was responsible for building, developing and designing the ISP’s anti-spam filter and overseeing between four and six billion pieces of mail per day.
“AWeber has always had a strong reputation for its outstanding deliverability and I want to make sure that remains the case,” said Ahmed. “Ensuring high deliverability requires constant oversight and customer education and I look forward improving our processes in both of these areas.”
Ahmed holds a BS from Osmania University and is a Microsoft Certified Architect and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences including DigitalEast, AiMA and has attended multiple M3AAWG and FTC conferences.
