Add Subscribers Through the API

You may already be familiar with AWeber’s API, and some of the cool apps that have been developed to make your AWeber account work with other services.

If you’ve been paying attention, you may have noticed that a few recent apps make use of an exciting new feature of the API.

We’re happy to say that apps can now add subscribers to lists via the API.

Why Is This Exciting?

It’s all about integration.

Now that apps can add subscribers to your lists, you can use AWeber’s powerful email marketing software to communicate with your audience seamlessly, whether they’re buying products from you online, commenting on your blog, or interacting with you via social media.

Let’s look at some examples of what this means for AWeber customers:

A few weeks ago, the AWeber WordPress plugin got an overhaul, enabling people who comment on your blog to subscribe to your list.

What made this possible? The API.

More recently, you may have seen a new option show up when creating your web forms in AWeber. Facebook registration enables visitors to your site to subscribe without touching their keyboards as long as they’re logged into Facebook.

What makes this work? The API.

What Else Can Apps Do?

The sky’s the limit here. Apps can update subscribers’ information, view statistics from email campaigns, and even add new subscribers to your mailing lists.

To see some of the apps that are available for you to use with AWeber today, go to the My Apps page of your account.

If you or someone you know is interested in developing a new app on the AWeber platform, head on over to AWeber Labs, home of the API.

Thank you so much. You have no idea how many of my clients request to create a subscribe upon some action and now that it is so easy to do so my job will be that much less complicated.

I will use this new functionality on my new website. I’ve tried other autoresponder services but Aweber beats them all in my opinion
and with a good API I think Aweber will remain the leader.
