Why join Pinterest, you ask, when your brand already has an established presence on Facebook and Twitter, and new social networks crop up and sink into oblivion every month?

Well, aside from the steady growth, its system lets you present your products an entirely different way: as image fodder for online bulletin boards. Beyond that, a handful (two, actually) of pinners with an eye for marketing have emerged.

By “following” these 9 trendsetters, you’ll get a steady stream of fresh ideas and inspiration for your own marketing:

Joy Cho: Oh Joy!

One of the most-followed pinners for a reason. Though her wide array of boards covers party planning, fashion and food, Joy’s got a few boards practical enough for email marketers, especially those who design their own messages or dramatically alter their email templates.

Joy’s a fashion-turned-all-around designer with her own business, blog and book, so by browsing her boards, you’ll find designs to draw attention, please the eye and strengthen your branding.

Sha Hwang: Shashashasha

Sha is an infographic designer with an eye for a strong visual impact.     I like Pinterest, it has a really clever marketing scheme where you need to be ‘invited’, they invite everyone of course but this is a really great way of making people feel special and important.

    Wow, this is my first time hearing of Pinterest, and I am glad I came across your blog. I am always looking for new and creative ways to market, especially owning my own business. So much is visual in today’s marketing, a lot of emphasis is put on eye catching and artistic marketing strategy. I love the uniqueness of these styles.

    Very informative and hopefully a huge help so that Pinterest remains a fun, interactive, offbeat but full of useful information and products social media community.

    As long as people understand first and use wisely, this is going to remain a very viable online website ๐Ÿ™‚
