System Downtime on Sunday, March 4

What Happened?

This past Sunday morning, AWeber’s external data center experienced a hardware failure that cut off all power to the entire data center, affecting our servers, the data center’s core networking equipment & every other company housed in their facility.

Because of this, access to our servers was sporadic, and we experienced downtime across our system, impacting our website, customer accounts and some web forms.

We became aware of the issue immediately, and we sprung into action to get your account up and running as soon as possible. By Sunday afternoon, all customer accounts were back online and accessible again.

What About My Messages?

Any broadcast or follow up messages scheduled to go out during the downtime were queued for distribution immediately afterwards.

While you can still access your account, there are a few minor functions still being addressed by our team. If you notice any part of your account that does not appear to be accessible or working properly, let us know and we will look into it immediately.

System Stability Is Top Priority

As our customer, we take your data seriously. Because of this, we have an entire team of system administrators, database administrators and security specialists working around the clock to keep your information safe and secure. While we’re not happy about any downtime that occurs, their quick response and work helped restore access as soon as possible.

This was an isolated incident. We’re discussing the hardware issues that occurred on Sunday with our external data center to determine how to reduce the effects of any issues that they might have in the future.
