Check out what tips Michael has to offer to help you launch your business using social media marketing and email. The top chat contributor will receive a copy of Michael’s book Launch and an AWeber goodie bag.

To participate:

  2. Follow @AWeber and @Mike_Stelzner.
  3. Follow the hashtag #AWeberHour in your favorite Twitter application (e.g., Twitter.com, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, etc.) and be sure to include it in your tweet.

Here’s a preview of the questions we’ll be discussing:

  • What is your formula for business growth?
  • What is the biggest lesson you have learned from launching your business?
  • How do you use social media marketing to help launch a business?

Seriously?!?!? A live training via texting??!!? I know you call it twitter but it’s still texting. It seems so cumbersome and inefficient. Why not audio?

Hi Lance. Thanks for your comment. I wouldn’t call it “training” necessarily. I’d compare it more to an interview or discussion with an expert in the field of social media. There’s a lot of great discussion that happens during these chats, and we pull it all together afterward in an ease-to-read summary, like this one we did last month with Joe Pulizzi. If Twitter isn’t your thing or you can’t make it, that’s alright; we’ll have the summary afterward.

I think this is fantastic! I’ll be participating… can’t wait!

We’ve no Twitter account, no Twitter education – – this is to come.

So, we’d rather have access to your one hour in an easier to access mode.
    Possible?

If not, how about cliff notes for a beginner?

Can’t make it at that time. Will aweber be sending out the summary?

Really?!? All this and you wouldn’t call it training.

Sorry, this is one of the worst ideas I’ve ever heard of….. Thoughts and advice in what 140 character blocks ???

Nice job looking for ways to use media in a new way but just cause it’s new doesn’t make it an idea worth doing.

Hi Peter. Are you using any sort of electronic calendar, such as Google Calendars or an iPhone calender? You can put it on your calendar and set a reminder before the chat.

Lance, I’m THRILLED it’s in this format. As a Deaf business person, audio stuff causes us to be seriously left out and it’s a real frustrating bummer of a business kill.

So I say THANK YOU for this training being available to us ALL. :-)

@Bob Mar., wow what a ruckus you’ve raised. This training/chat costs us no money. I could see if you paid for the training and was told it would be delivered one way and then was told after the fact that it was ‘text/chat’, but it says it right out from the beginning it’s on Twitter.

Not trying to get an attitude with you, just saying that I’m glad something so valuable IS free. On the other hand, imagine missing out on 90% of trainings because they are all done via audio. That’s what happens to us Deaf people every single day.

I’m sorry that you’re so upset, and you’ve every right to voice your complaint, but just wanted to give you another quite valid side to it.

I somehow agree with Lance here. There’s a difference with a real training and seminar and doing it via Twitter will just be too hard to follow. Just imagine. You’ll be following a hashtag to catch all the conversation. What if the main speaker gets drowned in all the hashtags?

  19. Brandon Olson

    2/3/2014 8:30 am

Hi Ivan. Thanks for your comment. Fortunately, our special guest is very familiar with the format and they’ll only be one hashtag to follow.

    Thanks Brandon for this news,

I have been a huge fan of Michael Stelzner, and would be glad to learn from him.

I’m in Nigeria, how will I be able to know when it will go online? Please, kindly advise

    A) Twitter is not new media.
    B) Twitter parties are happening ALL. THE. TIME.
    C) It might be time for some people to drag themselves into 2010.
