New Shopping Cart Integration: Google Checkout

Google Checkout now joins PayPal and Shopify as one of our shopping cart integrations.

Why Google Checkout? Well, it’s GOOGLE! We’d be crazy not to pair up with this Internet juggernaut.

But besides that, they offer a fast, convenient checkout process for your customers. And their payment guarantee protects 98% of Checkout orders on average – which means if an order is guaranteed, you get paid even if it results in a chargeback.

How it Works

You can use Google checkout for online transactions on your website, and your customers don’t need a Google Checkout account to purchase. Once they make a purchase, they’re added to your AWeber list.

But What About Google Wallet?

As you may have heard, Google Checkout will eventually merge with Google Wallet. It will still offer the shopping cart service, which is what this integration works with, and will continue to function the same under the new name.

  2. Your post about Google Checkout had me really excited until I learnt from Google that Google Checkout is only available in the U.S. and U.K. To everyone like me (In Australia) outside these two countries, there is still no access yet to this tool.

    Thanks

  5. Hi Dan,

While there isn’t an app for it, the 1shoppingcart integration has been available for years:

Is there a specific thing you’re looking to be able to do? If so, I’d be happy to pass that on!

  6. I’m looking forward to the day when I can point and click the options I want to put on MY website without all the video lessons, PDF print outs, fees, codes, drop ins, errors, and learning curves of failure…and just post and collect money. BUT this Google check out might be the best thing I can do if I can just get it done. Thank you and by the way I LOVE your tutorials! Really!

  7. Hi Crystal,

Very interesting to see Google launches “Google Checkout”. But I don’t have a good feeling on using Google Checkout, just stay on Paypal.

  8. What’s an advantage of using Google Checkout instead Paypal?

  9. Google and Paypal are both reputable companies you can use as your shopping cart solution. You might want to poll your customers and find out if they prefer Google or Paypal so you know which one to use yourself.

We have integrations for both of them, so use the one you and your audience are more comfortable with.
